Established in 2012 by the Memorial Medical Center Foundation, the Sharing Wishes Fund has granted wishes to more than 300 hospice patients in central Illinois since it’s inception.
Thanks to generous donors and supporters, the Sharing Wishes Fund provides money necessary to make the last wishes of hospice patients become a reality. As hospice patients are faced with many end-of-life decisions, they often have wishes they have always wanted to fulfill – a hot air balloon ride, celebrating a milestone birthday or anniversary, or a simple family meal surrounded by family and friends.
The program has touched hearts and brought smiles to so many. Each wish is unique and offers a bright light to the patient and friends and family during a difficult journey. Every wish leaves the family with happy memories. Read some of the stories here.
