Maternal Child Program

Our Maternal Child Home Health Program is designed to assist mothers and babies in the weeks before and after the birth of a baby. We will work closely with your physician to develop and administer a treatment plan to meet your needs. Best of all, you can remain in the comfortable surroundings of your home while we provide your care. Laboratory results and clinical information are then communicated to your physician. To qualify for our Maternal Child Program, you must meet our eligibility guidelines for home health care.

Assistance Before the Baby's Birth

We would like for every woman to have a healthy, safe pregnancy. However, if a problem does develop, our team is available to assist. Some of the services we can provide are:

  • Management of morning sickness and nausea
  • IV hydration
  • Diabetes during pregnancy
  • High blood pressure during pregnancy
  • Bleeding during pregnancy
  • Social services and counseling

Assistance After the Baby Arrives

After the baby's birth, our team helps facilitate a safe and healthy transition from the hospital to home. Vital information regarding well-baby care or postpartum instruction is not always remembered from the short stay in the hospital. Returning home with a new baby can be both exciting and stressful. What is the correct method for caring for the umbilical cord? How will I know if my baby is jaundiced? Home visits allow for complete assessment, family education and teaching by a registered nurse. Some of the services we provide are:

  • Maternal assessment, care, education & instruction
  • Newborn assessment, care, education & instruction
  • Breastfeeding or bottle assistance
  • Home phototherapy for newborn jaundice
  • Social Services & counseling
